JUN: Thanks for coming and sharing times. Let’s start with self-introduction and talks on each other's works in Exhibition freely. Also, we are going to share our opinions on Romance, Cultura's next month main Theme. Antone start, please.

  Chang: Well I will talk first, I am Stella Chang, I have been mainly drawing Pop Art styles. In my chasing for pure art with abundant colors I prefer to use acrylic oil paintings. My subjects are drawings and photos in small and bigger sizes and will have spirits from them. Presently, I started to learn of poetry in which I felt some kind of limited minds.

  Jeon: It is good idea. Hello everyone, I am Mi Young Jeon, If we can draw with a poet's eye, the drawing will have more expressed emotions. Little envious for studying poetry. I originally majored in design and have been doing Korean painting for about 25 years. I have tried to exclude the concepts on design formats but presently, contrary to the last concept, now, I am absorbing and applying feelings of simplicity and design. I am engaging in Modern Art with theme of new interpretation of new sights. 

  Kim: I am So Yoon Kim, I can agree with Chang, As a matter of fact, I have learned Poetry and am presently working as a copy-writer. I like to write poems in Korean. English writing seems a little dry. Personally, English seems unsuitable for Korean. Mainly, I am working on Oil Painting, for expressing my emotions on my works, I am making paints by myself. Normally, I draw with inner spirits and images which instinctively appear momentary rather than to have set up concepts. I may find out interpretations after completion. From my young age, the act of drawing was one way to escape from real life. This escape seemed to me, it is making my own world. Returning to memories in the old days, I am trying to find out the true minds which allow me to catch momentary objects.

  JUN: That seems to be such an interesting method. Everyone has secrets and inconvenient insights anywhere. It will be a job to look forward to which can return to themselves for momentary emotions and descriptions of their gazes.

  Choi: I am Go Woon Choi, I was graduated Ehwa Univ. major Sculpture after Sunhwa School. For about 10 years I have engaged in 3D animation, game and movies, amd now, I have returned to Fine Arts. I am trying to find subjects in normal daily life and presently, I am working with using metallic foil, in semi-abstraction side.

  JUN: The games and movies. Did you work on them in Korea?

  Choi: No, In USA, game has worked with SONY, title "GOD of WAR" which was a popular game. I worked as a senior artist. I was so disappointed at that time. In game side, there was more focus and value on the program than on the visual part. That was the main factor of disappointment. That was the reason to return to Fine Art.

 JUN: Thanks all, from your stories, I can easily understand each different backgrounds, each different tastes. How did you come up with a joint exhibition?

  Chang: As a matter of fact, we did not know each other, I was introduced by someone close. I had some worries on different color ways and styles but I thought there will be a certain synergy effect from these different characters. 

  JUN: Well, let’s talk about each other’s paintings on this exhibition.

  Chang: I am simply thinking that we feel a little unsatisfied with our own colors but we can practice more enough times in each separated way. I believe we will get more good opportunities coming along the way.

  Choi: I, personally, was impressed and felt that her works seem so poetic. I got a experience of learning and notice the differences.

  Jeon: When I thought I ought to draw, that caused such heaviness in minds and I did not know what I should do but when I thought I will make a painting, then, after that moment, I found many-things to do and I felt an explosiond in my heart. Through this exhibition, as a result of our inter-changed thoughts on other characterized painters, I am thinking of a similarity of drawing methods.

  Choi: In my case, I could get a strong feeling from Stella Chang’s works. Of course, I liked old series too. I think she is excellent for her choice in subjects.

  Kim: I was so impressed by Go Woon Choi's paintings, in the metallic and sensitive touches. Also, so surprised the emotions which she can get recognized as drawing with such touches. On works of Mi Young Jeon, it looks so good for trying to communicate with the materials.

  JUN: Just like facing each other’s paintings, today all of you might have gotten a good impression of all the comments well, we can have talks on our magazines "CULTURA" next month topic subject on ROMANCE. I have got little regret on informing this subject of ROMANCE at last moment. How about you?

  Kim: It may be a very normal answer, but, I will go first. Including men and woman, for me, the oldest romance will be drawing and materials and keep feelings of love and hate for them. In the studio, when I am a painter, alone, working with brush and painting, the result is romance with these painter and painting working, we can get my own painting. Therefore, my drawing is so impatiently processed and brushing working, also, like talking with the canvas.

  JUN: The answer is so normal and safe one, so, you choose first. It would be so romantic hearing and having secret talks with brush made romance and it could make one painting. This time, let's turn to Go Woon Choi.

 Choi: My words will not be so fresh. My first thought is movie-Love letter-director Iwai Shunzi in there, I could recall memories from teenage years, the first love and incomplete love.

  JUN: Love-letter is considered as one kind of text book about the first love. It’s rather to say unstarted love than can not be made. In anyhow, on such view, romance can be said a very egoistic matter.

  Choi: I can agree with Painter Kim, my original romance came with my works too. I could feel satisfaction so many times through very hard and heart broken painting for myself and not for anyone.

  JUN: It would be a little unclear to call them as romance, are there any comments?

  Kim: Yes, I think I have other opinions, I got some opposite side. It will be so hard to call romance, being in love with unrealistic objects. That might be said that someone loves themselves who loves objected one only in fantasy, not in reality. Long time ago, I visited Washington with my boyfriend by car and then, we fought severely on the road. However, we came by car together and return back by car together too. Finally, I realized that those loving days was fantasy and love has broken and accepted love on reality. I could say that everything occurred in course of realistic love could be "romance". Of course, I will marry him soon.

  JUN: Congratulation. That is interesting. I did not get such thoughts that during realistic love relations, all the quarrels, even farewell could be considered as romance. How about Mi Young Jeon?

  Jeon: I have a simple thought, if anyone living can take romance.

  JUN: It seems a like Buddha's answer, can you give a little more explanation?

  Jeon: It is not words of Zen style. As I said, everyone has it, someone has hidden it, and someone forgot it. Long time ago, coffee came to our lives, many people said enjoyingdrinking a cup of coffee was romance and when twist dance was introduced, the twist dance was called romance. I am thinking that it might be called as romance on all my experience on cultures, arts and dialogues with peoples, during my whole life.

  Chang: I can say all given love or romance are not same for all of us. I think that each person has different faces, voices, living places and foods, and like this, the weight of love will differ to each one. My love will not be comparable with others and cannot provide same experiences to others. Therefore, at last, all of us will take most personally defined answers about love from each person.

  JUN: For me, according to limited lines and standard formats, there are big differences on interpretations. When we started "som" (recent slang) we can say romance has started and we can say real romance will happen during course of love relationship. On our talks, the true ideal romance can be acquired from uncompleted love and on my feeling, such love, it will be an egoistic matter. Now, we may talk about what kind of romances I pursue.

  Kim: I am dreaming for winter sea. Of course, such dream comes from experience, long time ago, I was severely cold in winter sea. The coldness was so severe but after time passed, I crecovered. However, one day, when I entered the room, it was like being electrified, I could feek some kind of shockwaves. At that moment, I got strong feeling for returning to such cold sea again. I hope love and romance are going the same way and it will be same.

  JUN: Your words is almost same and continued from last talks of Painter Mi Young Jeon, said that if we are alive we can get it. There is no argument. we should live.

  Jeon: Sometimes, I remember scenes from the movie "The Bridge of Medison County." Like in the movie, always longing for love, drawing and dancing alone, drinking wine, singing and drawing again, sometimes kiss on my drawings too. My thinking of love is keeping the chase of something continuously.

  JUN: You gave interesting answers. I read book and saw the movie and for long time, I have kept memories actions on middle aged actors. The love of the couple was clear but many people had view of other side. At that time, many people had arguments on such matters. The last turn will go to Stella Chang. 

  Chang: With name of art, my achieved art works will be very small and poor, but the passions for love on art, at last, there will no other comparable objects. For a long time, I am longing for true and unchangeable love, but I am also thinking that the perfectly completed love could be more established from relations of human vs non-human not human vs human. During my art works, I like to turn on light love songs, in this quite different atmosphere of mixed music, art works and myself, there is no talks and no sharing story. As one of artist, try to chase for true, pure love but more believing that there will impossible to get it from human.

  JUN: For me, today I had a really nice talk with all of you and there are so many remarkable comments and impressive tales. On the way of our lives, I believe Romances are always existing nearby and some romance are now in the memories box. Anyhow, some of them, are going to forget and fade away now, however, I hope all of you and myself, need to remember the important fact that 'Romance' has given us so much powerful energy to our lives always and still, romance makes our heart beat as we remember it.
